Aisha Jamila Hinds is an American actress, best popular for her work in the television shows The Shield and True Blood. Since her appearance on the show in 2003 she has displayed her versatility in acting by giving outstanding performances in television series such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7 and Under the Dome. Her performance of Assault on Precinct 13 from 2005 was the very first role to draw her notice. It was, however, her character as Fannie Lou (a female activist fighting for equality) on the biographical All the Way film that led to her fame as an actor. Hind's portrayal as Harriet Tubman on WGN America's historical drama Underground received a lot of praise. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television renewed 9-1-1 for a brand new season. The show was renewed for a third season by 20th Century Fox Television. Hind completed filming for the Hollywood movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters to be scheduled for a release in mid-2019. Their father Krishnaraj was a Army scientist who passed away on March 18 2017 and her mother Vrinda works as a homemaker. Aditya is her younger brother, and is a merchant naval engineer. The brother of Bachchan wrote and produced Dil Ka Rishta, along with his mother. The family relocated to Mumbai, where she attended Arya Vidya Mandir. Her intermediate studies were completed through Jai Hind College for a year prior to enrolling in D.G. Ruparel College Matunga, where she scored a 90% mark on her H.S.C. exams. She spent five years of her adolescence pursuing music and classical dance. She loved Zoology. Bachchan, who was then in the process of studying architecture, was named Miss World in the year 1994. This title launched her into the spotlight of modeling. The year 2003 was the time she was offered lucrative jobs with PepsiCo Inc. as well as Vogue magazine. She also signed a contract as model for L'Oreal Paris spokesmodel. Her acting career began to a good start with her highly praised performances in Iruvar (1997) and Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya (1997). Bachchan became the face of New Bollywood with these films that defied Bollywood's basic structure. That's when Bachchan added her star-power as well as beauty to her debut major English-language film. The actress returned to Bollywood to star in the critically acclaimed Dhoom: 2 (2006) and then released Provoked: A True Story (2006) in English. In April 2007 she married Abhishek Bachchan, who was a frequent co-star in the film and father of Bollywood famous Amitabh Bachchan in a marriage that brought together two India's most powerful personalities.
