Aisha Jamila Hinds is an American actress, best popular for her work in the television shows The Shield and True Blood. Since her appearance on the show in 2003 she has displayed her versatility in acting by giving outstanding performances in television series such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7 and Under the Dome. Her performance of Assault on Precinct 13 from 2005 was the very first role to draw her notice. It was, however, her character as Fannie Lou (a female activist fighting for equality) on the biographical All the Way film that led to her fame as an actor. Hind's portrayal as Harriet Tubman on WGN America's historical drama Underground received a lot of praise. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television renewed 9-1-1 for a brand new season. The show was renewed for a third season by 20th Century Fox Television. Hind completed filming for the Hollywood movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters to be scheduled for a release in mid-2019.
